Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that at approximately 1:00 pm, Madison County Dispatch received notification that a subject had arrived at Huntsville Hospital by personal vehicle suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Patrol Deputies responded and secured the victim’s vehicle. Investigators were notified and developed information which led to the location of 200 Block of Empire Lane in Huntsville where a crime scene was located. Investigators developed probable cause that James Hoyt Langford, white male, born in 1984 is the subject in this investigation.  James Hoyt Langford currently has outstanding arrest warrants for Probation Violations. Langford was apprehended at 2:25 pm this date after a short vehicle pursuit on North US 231 by Madison County Deputies and will be charged with the crime of Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle and Assault in the First Degree.
