FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 15, 2015

Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that the Madison County Sheriff’s Office will be partnering again with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Huntsville Police Department, Madison Police Department, and the Partnership for a Drug Free Community with Operation Take- Back. Operation Take-Back is the National Prescription Drug Take- Back Day which aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs that are unwanted or expired, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications especially with teenage prescription drug abuse rapidly increasing. This program is completely confidential and no personal information will be collected. This year’s Operation Take- Back is scheduled for September 26, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CVS located at 5859 Highway 53, Harvest, Alabama and October 3, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the CVS located at 12275 Highway 231-431, Merdianville, Alabama.
