FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 5, 2017

Sheriff Blake Dorning announced that on Monday, January 2, 2017 a search warrant was executed on room 28 of the Charles Motel in Meridianville, Alabama. The search of this room yielded Alabama Driver’s Licenses, Debit Cards, and Social Security Cards, belonging to various victims. There were also other stolen items in the room to include camping equipment, knives, and stolen cigarette cartons. The room was occupied by Jessica Nicole Everman, white female, born 4-23-1994 and Justin Tyler Benjamin, white male, born 11-19-1993. A search warrant was executed and the items collected began to link those items with open criminal investigations. We also began to search for both subjects in relation to the open Criminal cases and Recovered Stolen Property. On January 3, 2017, both subjects were located in the Hazel Green area. They were detained and brought to the Criminal Investigations Division Office and interviewed by Investigators. At the conclusion of the interviews, The Madison County Sheriff’s Office charged Justin Benjamin with Burglary 3rd with a bond of $15,000, Receiving Stolen Property 1st with a bond of $10,000, and Receiving Stolen Property 2nd with a bond of $5,000. Jessica Nicole Everman, was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property 1st with a bond of $10,000 and Receiving Stolen Property 2nd with a bond of $5,000. They were then transported to the Madison County Jail. Due to a large amount of open Criminal Investigations, we are continuing to link victims with property and fraudulent use of identity and debit cards.

Justin Tyler Benjamin and Jessica Nicole Everman were arrested on probable cause by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and are presumed innocent until determined otherwise by the judicial system.

Questions concerning this release may be directed to Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Capt. Michael Salomonsky (256) 533-8820.
